Having an original artwork commissioned just for you is incredibly exciting. It's wonderful to know the piece you end up with is a one of a kind, unique painting that no one on the entire planet will have except you.

We understand the decision about what artwork to put in your house is a big one. Deciding on size, shape and colours can be daunting, so we try to make the process as easy for you as possible. Once you've made the choice to have a custom piece made, we will do our best to help you decide on size and colours if you're unsure and provide advice should you require it.

The Process

We will communicate with you via email to determine the dimensions and colour palette for the artwork. In order to do this, it may be helpful to provide photographs of your space so we can see where the art will be living. If need be, test colour palettes can be created before work begins on your final piece.

We do ask you to keep in mind that due to the often fluid nature of Jacqui's work each piece is unique and it is impossible to achieve exact replicas of previous works. Each artwork takes shape and evolves naturally, and as such there is no way to determine exactly what the end result will be. The artwork created for you, as mentioned earlier, is a one of a kind. This is the beauty of owning an original artwork.

A quote will be provided to you beforehand so you are aware of the total cost of the completed artwork. A non-refundable deposit is required before work commences on your piece (the percentage required as a deposit will be determined on an individual basis and be communicated to you).

The turnaround time for commission pieces will be subject to current workload, but you should expect approximately 4-6 weeks.

The balance of the payment should be made upon completion of the artwork, which remains the property of Inkah Art until it has been paid for in full.
